Golan User Guide

The SIM card will be activated on the date chosen on the order page, when you arrive in Israel just insert the SIM into any unlocked phone and you’re good to go.

To make any service changes to your line login to your Golan account, the online Control Panel allows you to block and add services, change payments method, change numbers and more, the user and password was sent to your Email by Golan.

The unlimited plan does not include international text, calls to 144 information or phone numbers starting with 1344, 1919, 1900, 1901

Internet APN settings

Name: Golan 3G APN: internet.golantelecom.net.il

MMC: 425 MNC: 08

Important: with Golan you need to enable “roaming services” under the network setting to get data access.

Checking voice mail:
To check your voice mail or change your greeting message Dial *151 from your phone, or hold down your '1' key’ the instructions will guide you through the voice mail menu.

To check your messages from a different phone dial as follows 151-58-XXX-XXXX

Choosing the system language:
When you receive your SIM card the default language will be set to Hebrew, to change the language login to your Golan control panel.

Dialing International:
For international dialing you must only dial with 00 or + prefix followed directly by the country code - for example, dial the USA as follows: first dial 00 then dial 1 for the country code and the phone number 00-1- (555)555-5555.

Note: If you dial using any other prefix you will be charged for that international call.

International texting
Dial the plus + sign then the country code followed by the phone number, for example: to SMS the USA dial: +1(555)555-5555, MMS messages cannot be sent to international lines.

Making local calls:
Israeli phones must have a 0 first, i.e. dial 02-XXX-XXXX for Jerusalem landlines. Cell phones also need the 0 in their prefixes. i.e. 052-XXX-XXXX or 054-XXX-XXXX

Phone Requirements 
First make sure your phone is unlocked, you can also call your service provider to verify if your device is unlocked or ask them for the unlock code. the phone must be capable of functioning with one of these  bands (frequency) UMTS 2100;850 - GSM 1800

Internet Settings
First make sure data services and 3G is enabled under network settings, with Golan you need to enable data roaming to get data access, Golan is using the Cellcom network therefore you need to enable roaming.

If you have an Iphone reset the network setting under settings, general- reset

For Android follow the instruction bellow to configure the Golan APN settings for data access

Go to Menu> Settings> Wireless & networks.
Now select “Mobile networks” and then “Access Point Names”.
Click “Menu” and then “New APN”.
Enter Name and APN (below).
Leave Username, Password and other entries blank.
Save and activate.

The Country Code for Israel is 972, People calling from outside Israel would need to dial 972 followed by the Israel mobile number without the first 0 for example from America where you dial 011 for an international call you would dial 011-972-58-555-5555
